Individual therapy is meant to be just that, individual. My approach is very kind, caring, yet direct. I believe in full transparency and authenticity. Thus, I will tell you what I think instead of just listen. I combine cognitive-behavioral, experiential, humanistic, strength based, and trauma informed therapy that has your best interest in mind. I am also EMDR Trained if you are looking for this specialty.

FAMILY THERAPY

Family therapy is a place where family members can share their thoughts and feelings with each other in a safe way. It is also a place for challenges to arise and for conflicts to be resolved. I have been providing family therapy for 5+ years primarily in residential settings working with complex family dynamics with the goal of providing better understanding and overall fuction for families.

Having amazing supervisors and mentors throughout my professional carreer has allowed me to grow in amazing ways. Thus, I like to extend my knowledge and exprience to future social work and substance use providers to help them become professionals as well. My primary clinical experience is in both residential and private practice settings working with adolescents with needs such as suicidal ideation, self harm, depression, anxiety, trauma, neurodivergence, LQBTQIA+, and many more.

CONTINUED EDUCATION

Teaching is a passion of mine. I truly enjoy passing on the knowledge that I have learned throughout the years. With that being said, I have presented at various conferences virtually and in person around North Carolina and the country on topics including Adolescent Technology Use, How to Talk with your Kids about Hard Topics, the Impact on Parental Substance Use on the Kids, Overcoming Parental Burnout, Teamwork Among Residential Staff, etc. I am also an Adjuct Professor at Western Carolina University.
